Mostly I am appalled at the vast quantities of plastic we consume in packaging, so I am always happy to find different forms of paper used for packing. When I came across this gathered brown paper, my pulse quickened. A studio mate had given me some paper towels used to clean acrylic pinks and purples off her brushes, so I was off and running with this wild idea. This form arranged itself. Voila! "Pink Pi" came into being! The feminist revolution is worldwide, and eternal, like pi.

This particular one makes me think of a birch forest in the severest phase of winter, though it might evoke another thought in a different viewer.
